and implementing new programs for the club and also created training
programs and workshops on topics such as pre and post natal fitness,
indoor cycling, yoga, strength training, step, nutrition and more.
Heather attended Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia, PA where
she graduated with a B.S. in Mathematics. She became a math specialist
and then a math teacher and went on to receive her M.S. in Educational
Leadership at Hood College in Frederick, MD. After becoming a mother,
Heather made a career change to health and fitness which is what led
her to where she is today. In addition to her certifications, Heather
has extensive training in pre and post natal fitness and loves to educate
clients in strength training and nutrition. Her certifications include
AFAA group exercise, YogaFit levels I, II, and III, Peak Pilates Basic
Mat and Intermediate Mat, and Indoor Cycling through Reebok. She is a
certified children's yoga instructor through the Radiant Child Yoga Program
and a Rep Reebok instructor. In addition, she has extensive training
in pre and post natal fitness and loves to educate clients in strength
training and nutrition.
Heather's love for fitness and desire to help others coupled with knowing
she can make a difference in someone's life is what brought her to South
Pointe. "Even when I taught school I wanted to make a difference in someone's
life. Now not only is it about educating individuals, owning a health
club also includes helping others achieve goals and make commitments
that will change their lives forever. If I only help one person I know
I will have made a difference! That, to me, is success."
